Sk8 M8's - Skate Events for Eastbourne Skaters
Wednesday Night Skate - LONDON TRIP!
The Sk8 M8's are going to London, Rebecca and Max are regular attendee's to Londons Wednesday night skate so we are using that vast experience to plan this trip. However everything is very much at the mercy of the weather. To organise our way round this we'll notify the date we plan to use THE DAY BEFORE. If you want to attend this skate, check with us on Tuesday night onwards. So if you are up for it and free on a suitable Wednesday here's what you do:

Check we are doing it! And if so - proceed to step 2!

Get yourself to London Victoria for 7pm. (for example the 5:31 train from Eastbourne). It is very easy to identify who's in your group - they will be the ones carrying skates!

Tim, Mark, Max and Rebecca will meet you and get you to the start point for the skate.

We do the 10+mile skate!

Tim, Mark, Max and Rebecca escort you back to a convenient station for the return trip (probably on the last train).
You need a good level of skating to achieve this -we'd recommend having done our SK8 Streetwise course and that you could manage 2 full breakfast skates (without stopping, as it will be about 10+miles - that is the skating part twice, not the breakfast part twice!). You must be confident of controlling your speed and handling uneven irregular surfaces -like cobbles!
Bring a drink! And travel light because there is nowhere to leave anything, so you will be carrying everything whilst on your skates! (now is the time to get a skate bag, we hope you did the Sk8school theory lesson to help chose the right one!).

A Wednesday! - But which one depends on the weather! So check the event status on the Sk8 M8's page on Tuesday night(s).

Sausage and Roll - Eastbourne Breakfast Skate
The Breakfast Skate runs every alternate Saturday from April to October, Starting at the Turning Circle at 9am. A leisurely roll down to the Holy Well Cafe for breakfast and back by 11am, Nothing intense, Free and Fun! The next Saturday breakfast skate meeting at 9am at the Turning Circle is displayed on the Event countdown (Top Right of this page). Sk8 and Chips - Eastbourne Night Skate (Quad and Chips?)
Meeting People from all walks of life, all ages and always having someone to skate with... Sk8 M8's
Sk8 and Chips running on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the month. Starting as usual at the Turning Circle. A nice little prom skate, with some relaxing chat and fish and chips with some good company. Nothing to flash or pacey. Sit on the beach and if time allows perhaps finish off with an Ice Cream or coffee before heading off to the turning circle again for the finish. The latest information for these and many other events is usually "forward notified" in Eastbournes biggest and best skate newsletter.
Sk8 M8's Friday Crawl - Eastbourne Night Skate
Meeting at the Holy Well end, on Friday Nights, waiting for dusk, then a quick sprint (ok leisurley roll) to Cafe Land for a little open Air refreshment.

Every Sunday at ShineWater Sports Centre October to April 10am-11am £3. Around 20(ish) people only - first come, first served - booking and paying in advance monthly is preferable. Limited spaces to ensure no overcrowding. 20 Sk8 M8's and Sk8school private Eastbourne Skate Lessons only in this session.
