Sk8school and Eastbourne Sk8 M8s trip - Boat Race!
The Eastbourne Skaters Boat Race
This will be a big party! Lots of skaters coming from all over - to Barcombe Mills for a sedate and sensible (ok probably not) - Boat Race!
We always look for something to do over Airbourne Weekend, because the seafront is too noisy for lessons and too crowded for the Breakfast skate, so we look for "out of Eastbourne" skate events to occupy us....
And found one that has no skates....
The Schedule
Saunday 4th July from 2:30pm onwards. (At Barcombe Mills - Anchor Pub)
There will be a convoy leaving Eastbourne for about 2pm - heading for the Anchor Inn.
We plan to get there.... Hire Kayaks (£6 per person) and then explore the river Ouse.
Sk8 M8 John has volunteered to police the entire operation to ensure there is no:
- Capsizing
- Water Pistols
- Walking the plank
- Boarding Parties
- Splashing
- Mucking About
Everyone Agrees he is the ideal person to police this!
When/Where to meet up in Eastbourne
Meet at Mr & Mrs T's for about 2pm, we'll do the usual convoy, car optimisation etc.
Food and Drink / Preparation
The Anchor does food and drink so you won't need to worry there.
However there is a very slight chance of getting damp so put all
valuables in something water resistant and bring a change of clothes.
