Eastbourne Skate Lessons - January to March
Please note: This is a very busy time of the year for SK8school and we will try to teach all the "Christmas Present" skaters. Please help us, to help you, by booking your place, rather than just turning up. In these busy times we will always give priority to those that have booked their lessons.
There are plenty of classes and courses to choose from, for all ages and abilities - so get yours booked ASAP. To book please use any of the methods found on the Skaters Social Network.
Eastbourne Skate Lessons - Eastbourne and Beyond!

Private lessons are available by arrangement contact your preferred instructor to book.
Skate Hire is always available at group sessions and at private lessons by arrangement.
We have regular venues, or can come to you.
Group lessons are usually split into at least 3 simultaneous classes:
- Beginners - How to STAND! , STOPPING, Go and Turn
- Improvers Coaching - Backwards, Spins, Transitions, Slide Stops etc.
- Kids Skate Camp - For Ages 5+ Various Challenges and Games on skates.
Eastbourne Group Skate Lesson Structure
Our main INDOOR group lessons during the winter months are 4pm at Hampden Park Sports Centre (Brodrick Road). All lesson attendees are invited to stay on for the Roller Disco afterwards. Lessons are also available indoors on Sundays at 4:30pm at Bexhill Leisure Centre.
Our main OUTDOOR group lessons during the summer months are 9:30am at the skaters cage, Sunday mornings (weather permitting - please use the skaters social network at the bottom of every page to ensure you get the latest go/no go lesson information if the weather is dubious).
Additionally in 2012 we will have a Course of Lessons running at Shinewater Sports Centre on Sunday mornings 10am, these 5 week courses enable beginners and improvers to steadily build their skills and require booking in advance. Skate Skills Course details. - Please bring full protective gear to this course, if there are any peices you don't have please let us know in advance so they can be provided for you.
We generally have multiple instructors all running classes at the same time at different levels - simply go to your preferred group. in the main these classes are split as follows:

 Beginners Skate Lesson |
A total beginners lesson for the complete novice,
starting with "How to Stand Up!". Further Skills include Moving off for the first time , Stopping and Turning. The class also brings in useful safety drills and familiarises people with the jargon they need to get safely started. Suitable for all ages 5-85. Attendees are welcome to try this class as often as they wish until fully conversent with its content. |

 Improvers Coaching |
Beyond the beginners syllabus is a whole lot of
skating! This coaching course has no set format, but does build on the
previous beginners class. Typically general "improving" drills are followed by questions from the class, which allows everyone the chance to learn new and exciting skills at their own pace. |

 Kids Skate Camp |
Kids learn in a very different way from adults. Once a
child knows the safety procedures and at least how to stop (from our
beginners class) they are ready to improve using the Kids Skate Camp.
This class is designed to improve a childs skating through games, and
drills and challenges disguised as games. Its so much fun the kids don't even realise they are learning! |

Skate Hire is available at most lessons and sessions and also for private hire on the seafront. £5 per hour/session. A deposit will be required for private hire.
Note :All Lessons are 1 hour unless marked otherwise. If you have a Discount voucher from one of the shops please present it at the beginning of the session.
Generally costs as follows (In Eastbourne) :
- Childs Group Lesson £5
- Adult Group Lesson £8
- Skate Hire £5 (Including all safety equipment)
- Private Lesson £20/£25 + £10 per extra person
